John Hepburn INNES - Lancashire and Hull

Looking for information on the family of John Hepburn Innes born 1861 in West Derby, Lancs. His daughter Jessie, born c1887 married David Macdougal in Hull in 1912. Jessie was living at Alliance Ave at the time. Her father John Hepburn Innes was described as a marine engineer.

I don't know what happened to the couple after the marriage - I can't find any records of children, or of deaths. I wonder if they left Hull and went back to Jessie's family home - but can't find John Hepburn Innes on the 1901 census. There was a Grace Innes, witness at the wedding, and I have traced her family to Hull in the 1901 census. I think her husband Robert is John H Innes's brother.

If anyone has any information or suggestions I'd be very grateful. Thanks
