Bev. The only "document"..or nearest thing..to proving Thomas J. is a son of Francis, is an articleconcerning Francis and Mary from the HISTORY OF DUBOIS COUNTY, BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCHES and the 1850 Marion County, KY Census September 9, 1850. Ages of children were taken from that 1850 census. Another part of that article provided by an Evelyn Ford was given as FRANCIS MILBURN 1804- 1861. As was the case with many , Thomas J. could neither read nor write. I do not have the article; I know it exists.
Francis did not have a son Edmond. The only Edmond Milburn known to me was a grandson of David Milburn, the sixth child of Robert and Sebily Milburn: Edmond Milburn b. in Pettis Co. MO. and d. 1898. His father was Harrison S. Milburn m. Susan Toler. I hope this helps, Arlina
