Amanda Inman & John Cook Sevier County, Tennessee

Hello, I’m researching my GGGrand-parents John & Amanda Cook of Sevier County, Tn. I’ve had Amanda’s maiden name as Inman, however, now I think her name was Breeden born abt 1844 in Sevier County, Tn daughter of Bryant Breeden born 1800. On the Sevier County 1870 Census John & Amanda have Malvina & Julia Inman living with them. I came across information on the Sevier County Library Web Site that associates John & Amanda Cook with Willis Inman, Bryant & Lewis Breeden along with Malvina & Julia Inman. It appears to me that Malvina & Julia are the children of Willis Inman & Amanda Breeden (b abt 1844).

When I searched ancestry.com I found trees that show Willis Inman & Amanda Breeden with children Malvina & Julia. My theory is that Amanda Breeden did not die in 1860 but instead married Willis Inman. By 1870 she married John Cook. In 1878 she & John divorced and in 1888 she married H. E. Smith.

If you can help with any information regarding Amanda Breeden that would be great. Thanks, Jim Cook, St. Joe, Missouri
