I haven't found anything on John Gregg in the Richardson County G.A.R. records. Since he died in 1866, he wouldn't have been a member. The G.A.R. wasn't organized in NE until the late 1870s. The only Gregg listed in the records is Finley S. Gregg, who was a member of Post # 84 in Falls City. He was born in Knoxville, Tenn. in 1843, the son of Rev. F. S. Gregg. Finley was in Co. F. 23rd Iowa Infantry. He died Feb. 16, 1885 in Falls City.

Finley may be related to John but the only relative mentioned in his obituary is a sister, a Mrs. Wardell.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
