Irvin C. Inks Civil War Record

I have been researching the Grand Army of the Republic in Richardson County NE and have found Irvin C.Inks listed as a member. According to the membership roster of Porter Post #48 of Salem NE, Irvin was born in Franklin Co., MO. He entered the service July 11, 1863 with the rank of Private and joined Co. C, 14th Kan. Cav. He was discharged as a Private on June 25, 1865, having served 1 year, 11 months, and 14 days.

He was still a member of the G.A.R. living in Salem when he died in 1909. He is buried in Salem's Maple Cemetery.

I hope this info is helpful.
