I know ths is not what you were asking about but, for the name 'Orange' , according to my Mother, my paternal Grangmother used to talk about the family being related to the House of Orange of the Netherlands. May be something or nothing.
Her name was Mary H. M. (Ingraham)Rice. She was born in
1868 in Iowa.
She named her youngest son Emil Orange.
I can't imagine anyone using that name without some sort of history to it.
