Last Will and Testament of Job Ingraham (1771-1827)

The last will and testament of Job Ingram of
Oxford in the county of chenango and state of Newyork
I Job Ingraham considering the uncertainty of this
mortal life and being of sound mind and memory
blessed by almighty god for the same do make and
publish this my last will and testament in manner
and form following that is to say First I give and
bequeath unto my beloved wife Rebecca the use and
improvement of my farm on which I now reside for the
support of herself and the family until my youngest
son andrew becomes of lawful age (in case she remain
my widow) and when said son andrew arrives
to the age of twenty one years I will and bequeath
that said land be equally divided between my four
sons wit erastus orange sylvester and andrew secondly I
bequeath that the farming utensils be used on the farm
for the use of the family and likewise what stock and
sheep I won? own to be kept on the farm for the use of
the family and that it be kept good until my said
son andrew becomes of lawful age then to be equa-
bly divided between my three youngest sons wit
orange sylvester and andrew and that my said wife
have the use of my houshold (sic) furniture during her life
then to be divided between my three youngest girls wit
Hannah clarisa and Sally and likewise also my
beds and bedding to be disposed of in the same way.

Lastly I hereby ordain constitute and appoint Daniel
Tracy to be only and sole executor to this my last will
and testament In witness where of I have hereunto
set my hand and seal the third day of october in the
year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred & twenty

Signed sealed published and declared by the above named
Job Ingraham to be his last will and testament in the
presence of us who have hereunto subscribed our names
as witnesses in the presence of the testator
Danield Tracy, Cyrus B Main, Isaac J Tracy

Chenango county Ss be it remembered that on the
third day of January 1828 before me John Tracy surrogate
of said county came Daniel Tracy fo Isaac J Tracy
two of the subscribing witnesses to the foregoing Instrument
in writing purporting to be the last will & testament of
Job Ingraham late of oxford in said county deceased
who being duly sworn overtly? said that they saw Job
Ingraham sign and seal said Instrument in writing
and heard him publish and declare the same as
and for his last will and Testament That at the
time of the execution thereof he the said Job Ingraham
was of sound mind memory and understanding
and under no restraint according to the best of
their knowledge and belief and that they and
Cyrus B Main set their names thereto as witnesses in the
presence of the testator at his request and in the
presence of each other

Chenango county Ss be it remembered that on the
third day of January 1828 before me came Daniel
Tracy Executor of the last will and testament

execution and performance thereof by his taking the oath
of an execution as by law appointed
