Bonnie,
Thank you for responding and the information that you shared. The James Ingles that married Francis Murray was my husband's family. A couple of years after their daughter Janet was born, this couple left Scotland and moved to Lonaconing, Allegany county, Maryland, where they spent the remainder of their lives. Sometime after moving to
Maryland, the spelling of the name was changed to Ingles.

This James was a son of another James and Elizabeth Stoddart Ingles. This couple are buried in Old Cambusnathan cemetery near Wishaw. This James was a son of John Ingles and Ann Haddow. Naturally, I would like to take this family back an additional couple of generations.
