George Norman PATELLO moved to New Zealand from the U.K, sometime in the 1800's or the 1900's. He changed his name to INGLIS and married Alexandra Mc Kinnin. They had a few children, one of which was Norman George Inglis. He married Mavis Anderson and they had 6 children: Dennis, Brian, John, Carol, Jennete and Mary.
Now the STORY is that he changed his name to get out of tax and that a general helped him do it, but thats just a rumour. George had 2 brothers, who moved to CANADA at about the same time as he went to NEW ZEALAND. I don't know if they kept the name PATELLO, changed it to INGLIS or changed it to something completly different. Because of the name changing, this has been very difficult and any help would be appreciated. Please contact me if you have anything that might help me, or I have something for you.
