Ingleby - William, Elmore Arthur, Lynn R, Maxine - Towner
I am researching the Lincolnshire Ingleby's (spelt various ways.
William Ingleby, born Jun 1845, Lissington, Lincs emigrated to America on SS Java, March 1871, with his wife Emma (nee Wilcockson), and children William (b1868) and John (b1870).
In the USA 1880 census, William senior is living in Parma, Monroe Co., New York State and is a Minister. John has apparently died. Unaware of what happened subsequently to William and Emma, although there is another son Arthur, born in USA c1873.
By 1900, William Junior is married to Mabel L Rice and had three children:
Elmore Arthur Ingleby (b 8 Aug 1896 Rushford, Allegany Co)
Lynn Rice Ingleby (b 24 Aug 1898, New York)
Maxine Ingleby (b c1904 New York)
Elmore marries a Florence and by 1930 has 2 sons - Ralph A & Ronald E.
Lynn married a Lillian and has 2 children - Jean (marries Nasella? -lived in Florida) and William (lived in Mass). Lynn dies in 1965. I believe he worked for his brother in law in his store until 1951 when he became assistant cashier at State Bank of Fillmore until his death. He was a member of the Oriana Lodge 229, F. & A.M. What is this?
Maxine married Louis Towner who opens a general store in Fillmore, New York.
I would love to make contact with any descendants of these individuals.
William senior's younger brother Robert was my great grandfather.
David Ingleby
