Hi everyone,
I was very interested to hear about the Ingleby nose. Yes my children - well the boys - have it too! Inherited from their father Keith Ingleby born Carnforth, Lancs, and his father Ernest James Ingleby (born Gainsborough to Albert Edward Inglebyand Adeline). Ernest James was one of 4 boys who all had the 'nose', their male offspring have it too. The girls do not seem to inherit this feature. Edward & Adeline and family lived for a time in Barrow in Furness before moving to Morecambe. I would love to hear from anyone with links to this family.
Mavis Long (formerely Ingleby)
