Are you the same Kirby that I have communicated with before? I have been researching the England's in Barbour County WV.

I have a copy of James Englands's Will. It was spelled Ingland in the Will. I think it all depended on who was writing the name down. I also have a copy of his son,Henry's Will.

There is a book by Violet Gadd Coonts that was quoted to me by another researcher. The book is "The Western Waters....". After contacting her son, Stephen Coonts, we found out that he had the book published for her in 1991. Only 500 copies were printed. It is all about the settlement of that area of Barbour County.

Henry (brother to James) settled in Beverly. James and family settled on Wolf Run in eastern Barbour County. The came to the Tygart River Valley from Pennsyvania in 1787.

This researcher gave the name Abraham as the father of James and Henry. I have looked all over the internet sites and have come acorss a few references to Abraham Ingland in PA. I have a Heritage Book called "Bucks County Pennsylvania Deed Records 1684-1763". It has one record noted which mentions an Abraham England. The records are summarized in teh book. I haven't written for a full copy of the deed page but it sounds like someone was buying land that adjoined his in Rockhill Twp., Bucks County PA, rather than his own transaction. There are Englands and Inglands in the early 1800's in Pennyslvania so I figure some members of the family must have remained there. They are in various counties. Have you been able to tie anyone from your research in with concrete sources?
