I have posted a similar notice in the Bermuda forum, so I'm sorry if this duplicates. My great x3 grandfather was Samuel Saltus Ingham, Speaker of the House of Representatives. His eponymous father was a merchant and member of the Colonial Legislature and a shipping merchant who ran a Bermuda-based company out of Kingston Jamaica. I have managed to obtain a copy of a portrait of SSI junior from another correspondent and fellow family member, along with many details of their various wives and children, and I am continuing my search by trying to locate their ancestors and anything more about them themselves; also their descendents. I have details (available on the net) of SSI's wife Elizabeth Frith's (mother of SSI jnr.)ancestry, including the Smith family right the way back to their origins in Bodmin, Cornwall, and Patrick Copeland (b.1572), founder of the Chair of Theology at Aberdeen University. I am more than happy to share any information I already have with any other interested parties, and would also be grateful to have further leads on the family's life and situation in the 17th and 18th centuries in particular. My own link is with SSI jnr.'s daughter Mary, who married a Scottish soldier by the name of Pulteney Henry Murray, whose own daughter married my paternal grandfather Captain Maurice Fiennes Fitzgerald Wilson.
