The John Ingham whose gravestone I have found at St Mary's, Woodkirk (1721-1784) was the brother of Rev. Benjamin Ingham who founded the Inghamite church. The two brothers were very close; Benj. held his first service in John's cottage in Ossett and Jophn was the executor of B's will. John married Catherine and they were living in Stump Cross when Elizabeth(1747-8) was born. Their son Benjamin (1783-1808) was vicar of Woodkirk and married Katherine Webster in 1781. The gravestone shows Benjamin, Catherine and Norton Anne who died as infants, then John Webster (1788-1833) who married Anne Howgate in 1913 in Dewsbury, Margaret Hastings (1800-1870) From the IGI I have also found but not checked Charlotte b 1782. The vicar Benjamin also had a son Jonathan 1740-1777 who had a son John of Morley who had a son (1793-1826) and a daughet Lucy who died an infant. May we know your descendancy so we may put you on our family tree? We are not relatives, merely researching two great British trading families.
