Norman,

Do you happen to know if this is the same Samuel Ingham who married the "Widow Parks" in 1816 per this entry in the paper?

Parks Marriage date : Nov 4, 1816
Spouse : Ingham, Samuel
County of record : Dutchess Co.
Sex : F
Location : Poughkeepsie
State : NY
The gender of Parks is female.
The following additional information is known about this marriage: On the 4th inst., Mr. Samuel Ingham of Stanford to the Widow Parks of Little Nine Partners. Published Wednesday Nov 20, 1816. Dutchess Observer.

This marriage is recorded and/or took place at Poughkeepsie, NY.

Source information: Dutchess County Historical Society. "Notice of Marriages and Deaths about 4,000 in Number published in Newspapers Printed at Poughkeepsie, NY 1778-1825; collections of the Dutchess County Historical Society, Vol. IV". 1930.

A cousin of mine, Dick Bucknam found a deed in Dutchess County NY in 1836 where the Parks family, and Samuel Ingham sold land and we have determined that these people are all related but do not know how.
"On November 5, 1836 the Parks family, consisting of Peter & Emeline; David & Delvia; Mary; Jonas & Sabrina; Orrin & Sophia;
Tillah & Samuel Ingham, and Benjamin & Adah M. sold land in Dutchess County, NY."

We are investigating the fact that all the Parks mentioned may be children of the "Widow Parks" who married Samuel Ingham and I wondered if you had any additional information on this Samuel? Any help or response would be appreciated.

By the way, who was Samuel's first wife and when did she die?

David
