If this reply is from Prof. Norman Ingham, than, once again, many thanks. I, and several other people (they're in Australia) were looking for descent. Where does your record come from? Are there any other details? He did come to Manhattan in 1817; and, I, recently, got his census records (which had him living with a Jane, old enough to be his mother). He did portraits of members of the Ingham family of Co. Cavan, which suggests a possible link. Thanks again!,Randy Ingham
