Rick- Yes, I have more info for both Rebecca Cox & Nancy Shropshire ancestors. I'll include some of Rebecca's here: Rebecca Ann (Cox) <Mrs James S. Ingersol> was born 1823 Virginia, the dau of Mary (Jenkins) and Ezekial Cox. I found thru census that the family had relocated to Wabash Co., Indiana by 1840. 1840 Head of Household census, Page 2, Line 5: COX, Ezkil, males: 1) 5-9 <Jonathan>, 2) 10-14 <David & Joseph>, 2) 15-19 <Jenkins & unkn), 1) 20-29 <Geo.>, 1) 40-49 <Ezekial>; females: 1) 10-14 <Mahala?>, 1) 15-19 <Rebeca?>, 1) 40-49 <Mary> ->NOTE: I've indicated in backets <> which family member best fits the age group. Also I suspect James was married previous to Rebecca, as in same census on page 3, Line 13: INGERSALL, James S., males: 1) 20-29; females: 1) 20-29 INDIANA MRG INDX thru 1850: Wabash County, Book A-90: INGERSOLL, James & COX, Rebecca Ann, 6 Sep 1839 ->NOTE: James Steelman Ingersol was the son of Millicent (Steelman) and John Ingersol. 1850 Marion Twp, Jasper Co, IN= COX, Jenkins S., 29 VA, Farmer, $200 COX, Eliza A., 29 VA COX, Edith J., 4 IN COX, Delia A., 1 IN INGERSOLL, James S., 36 OH, Farmer INGERSOLL, Rebecca Ann, 27 VA INGERSOLL, Mary M., 5 IN INGERSOLL, Susan M., 1 IN -> NOTE: Rebecca & Jenkins Cox were siblings. 1860 Rensselear P.O.-Marion Twp, Jasper Co, IN= INGERSOLL, James, 43 OH, Farmer, $-/150 INGERSOLL, Rebecca, 37 VA INGERSOLL, Mary, 15 IN, Schl INGERSOLL, Susan, 11 IN, Schl INGERSOLL, Amanda, 8 IN, Schl INGERSOLL, Miriam, 3 IN INGERSOLL, Harriett, 1 IN ->Previous household, Rebecca's parents: COX, Ezekiel, 62 VA, Farmer, $3920/300 COX, Mary, 65 VA COX, George, 40 VA, Farmer COX, Oscar, 17 IN COX, Hosea, 14 IN COX, Sarah, 6 IN COX, Ezekiel, 5 IN COX, George, 2 IN 1870 Xenia P.O., Sarpy Co, NE= INGERSOL, James 57 OH, Farmer, $2000 / 300 INGERSOL, Rebecca 47 VA, Kpg House INGERSOL, Marian 13 IN, Schl INGERSOL, Belle 24 IN INGERSOL, Hattie 11 IN, Schl INGERSOL, Elsworth 6 IN Source: NEBRASKA STATE MORTALITY INDEX: R.A.
