How about 1870 census Worth, Cook Co., Illinois? William born NY dentist, wife Mary (49) keeps house; Frank (23) born Ohio; Ida (16) and Freddie (12).

If this is the correct family, Avery's Ingersoll Family ** book, page 256 shows William to be William Brewer Ingersoll born 27 Jun 1819 died 13 May 1887 in Englewood, Cook Co., Illinois, wife Mary Kennedy born 17 Nov 1821 died 28 Jun 1895 Nebraska. (no parents given for Mary)

children shown are: Caroline Dwight Ingersoll born 28 May 1843, Sandusky, Ohio
Frank Carlton Ingersoll born 19 Jan 1846, Elyria, Ohio
Ida Camelia Ingersoll born 21 Jul 1852, Oberlin, Ohio
Fred Theodore Ingersoll born 11 Feb 1858, Oberlin, Ohio

** Several mistakes have been found in the book and there are tons of William Ingersolls.
