Lillian Drake Avery's book lists the father of Artemidorus Ingersoll as Francis, son of Jonathan & Elizabeth (Perkins), no mother. Yesterday, I came into possession of a copy of a birth record which states the following:
Ingersole, Noamie, dau of Daniel & wife Mary born Mar 15,1756
Francis, son " " " " " Feb 23 '58
Rebecca, dau " " " " Mar 28 '60
David, son " " " " Jan 13 '62
Artimedores, son " " " " Apr 26 '64
I have the photocopy of this record, which also shows record of: Ingersole, Barshashaba & David Sanford Marr. Aug 4, 1757 and a partially readable: Ingersole, Thomas Sutton(?)son of David & wife (rest unreadable). This record was copied from original at Berkshire Athenaeum, Pittsfield, MA.
Another record from the same source, from the Descendants of John Drake" 4th generation #46: William Drake Jos., John, John) b. Dec 30, 1705 in Windsor CT; m at Westfield MA Jan 22, 1730 Naomi, daughter of Nathaniel & Mary Williams...William Drake's will probated at Pittsfield, MA, dated Sep 23, 1765, proved Apr 28, 1767 and mentions wife Naomi, sons Festus, Augustus, Ovid & William, daughters, Abiah, Mary and Mehitable & granddaughter Sarah "Willibe", daughter of Abiah. Sons Festus & Augustus to be executors...In a deed dated 17th day of (year blank) Augustus Drake, Festus Drake, Ovid Drake & William Drake all of Stockbridge, yeomen, and Mary Ingersoll of Stock bridge, spinster,...deed to Ezra Fellows of Stockbridge 50 acres of land in West Stockbridge that formerly belonged to Widow Naomi Drake...deceased.

Are Mary & Daniel the correct parent names for Artemidorus? And if they are, who are Daniel's parents? Are they still Jonathan & Elizabeth with Artemidorus' brother's name (Francis) reiterated as a father's name?
I'm very confused now.
