John Ingersoll in Pike Co., Ohio

Searching for the parents or family of John Ingersoll of Pike Co, Ohio. He was born approx 1805. In 1835, he married the widow, Nancy (Shopshire) Wilkinson. They had a son, James R. 1836, also in Pike Co. Nancy married a 3rd time in 1841, so I assume John died sometime before that.
Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
