Thank Earl,

According to the info from Elias B. Poston and his Ancestors Compiled and written by Elias Olan JAMES and Glenna Lucile JAMES in 1942: it states that in 1790: The James family emigrated from MD to Sullivan Co., TN (then NC) about this time. It did give the name of Samuel Edney as the father of Lucinda EDNEY, and that she was married to an Elisha JAMES, Sr. b. abt. 1775 in Maryland. I don't have a marriage date or location for this marriage. In about 1814, they Apparently moved to OH. I am assuming that Lucinda was his first wife, their children are listed as George, Noah, Thomas, John Jefferson JAMES b. abt. 1798 (this is the John I am seeking further info on) Polly, Blanchey, Samuel, Harvey, Delilah, Walter, Lucinda, Elisha Jr., Emaline, Johnathan.

It also has other wifes listed, and Lucinda is not mentioned in his will. Do you have a birth, death or marriage date for Lucinda EDNEY JAMES? I am actually seeking further info on the son John Jefferson JAMES. This John Jefferson JAMES, could be the father of my gg grandfather, Elisha Rollins JAMES, b. 1841 in Indiana.

Looking for any possible connections. Have further info on Elisha JAMES, SR. & Lucinda EDNEY AND descendants of my John J. JAMES & Mary "Polly" Carrel/Carrol Would be happy to exchange info.
