Hi Lucky Kidneys

You may be interested that an Ontong Burnett was listed in the Parish Register at Peterculter in Aberdeenshire, Scotland in the 1770s. This is what we have found:

Herietta BURNETT was christened in Peterculter on 17 October 1778. Her father was quoted as "Ong-tong BURNETT" in the IGI.

An Untong BURNETT was christened on 11 Sep 1774 but no parents were given. Presumably the father would have been Ontong?

Just thought you would like to know. We have no way of finding out if the older man [Henrietta's father] was born in the Far East or if he was an immigrant, of of immigrant stock as the records are unclear or missing before these dates.
