The fact that MOST accept them does not make them accurate. Until recent times , most people believed that the earth was flat, but it wasn't.
And most who? Perhaps Muslims might accept them, but then Mormons accept the genealogies from Adam that turn up all over the net. Genealogists and historians do not.
As I said, I have no vested interest either. I have descent from the Spanish royal line that always held to be descended from Muhammad, and I have other, Eastern lines that no doubt have purported descents, but they cannot be proven. That is my point.
One can believe what one wants, but to put it down on paper leaves it open to research and research does not hold up in these cases. Yet.
Please do not reply to this. I do not want to continue this discussion. I really think that you are quite impolite, anyway. You talk about wanting to respect Muslims, but you have no respect for my surname and you speak to me very condescendingly.
