Tracing first Simon (surname) who went from the Netherlands to Indonesia, probably working for the Dutch East India Company circa 1750 onwards. First tracing date is 1819 in Semarang - Java. His descendants lived in the surroundings of Surakarta. I know there are "Simon's" from Cheribon and Padang but I cannot find a link to my familytree.
These families have not necessarily to be linked to my tree, because it is also possible that there are more than one Simon went to Indonesia from different countries.
I'm wondering if any record of the first Dutchman, surname Simon, who probably came with the Dutch East India Company is recorded in records in the former Batavia, Indonesia or in Malacca?
If anyone can help with information please reply.
