Elizabeth Albertina Quinn had a relationship with Frederick Richard Norman Fortescue, a British Army Officer, in India. She gave birth to 2 children out of wedlock. The first known birth was Henry ANE Fortescue, born in Meerut on 18th August 1851 and the second born was Florence Eglantine Fortescue, born 3rd February 1854 in Agra.
Frederick returned to Ireland and married Maria Jane Garstin and went on to have 3 other children legitematley.
Our interest is in Elizabeth: where was she born? where and when did she die? where is she buried? who were her parents? was she Indain or Anglo-Indian or was she an Irish or British subject?
