I am researching the life of Capt. Robert Charles Hill MBE of the 13th Hussars, whose first wife was a widow when he married her - Isabella Dawson Bagley. The marriage took place in Trimulgary, India in 1908,and their son Robert Charles was christened there on 22 December 1909. The certificate says that Isabella was Scotch. I have found a record of a B BAGLEY who was Mentioned in Despatches during the Boer War, also a 13th Hussars soldier, and wondered if this was Isabella's husband. There is a rather bizarre family story regarding the two children born to Robert and Isabella, and we are anxious to find out what happened to them. Any information would be gratefully received.
