There is an Ernest B. Atkins born in Madras in 1864 (Vol. 45, p. 264 - Madras). The only Ellen Miles is a child on the 1851 Bombay Census for Scinde (Sindh) with parents James Alexander Miles & Ellen Collison who were married 13 Jan 1842 at St. Pancras in London. Try 'India Office Family History Search' and 'Frontis - The Archive Publishing.' These are search engines for India records. Also try familysearch.com. Click on IGI then enter the last name and India. You can check the boxes for suspects and go back and forth without losing your thread. If he was an 'Indian Army' doctor he will have a personel file at the OIOC - British Library in London. Good luck.
