Some more info would help:
When was he born?
About when did he go to Australia?
Where in Australia? (Records including births, marriages, deaths, are not national but depending on state/territory - i.e. NSW, Victoria, etc.)
Who were his wife, children, etc?
What was his occupation?
Did he serve in any wars?
www.familysearch.org has an Alfred Spring Weippert, born around 1826 in London, apparently married around 1858 in Calcutta to a Catherine - could these be the parents of your Alfred born Calcutta?
