Trotter Family/Calcutta Bridge 1890's

Hi. I just found this forum and I am hoping someone can direct me. My great-grandfather worked with the British government building the Calcutta bridge. My grandmother and possibly her brother (Kathleen and Walter Trotter) were born in India; she in 1897 and he 2-4 years prior.

The only information other than that that I have is Kathleen's mothers' name may have been Rose or Helen and that she could read German. Her father was captured by the Turks and died, I'm assuming before 1902 when Kathleen and Walter were sent to a Glasgow, Scotland orphanage.

Thank you for any help you can supply. I am looking for ANY information I can find on any of them.
