Alice Sarah Mabel Caulfield (1878-1913) was my paternal great-grandmother but I don't know much about her. I do know she was 19 when she married Arnold Adshead on 9 August, 1897, at St Patrick's Church, Karachi. Her father's name was James Caulfield. She died in 1913 at the age of 35 from enteric fever at Karachi. She was born on January 16, 1878, in India, possibly at Karachi. I have lots of info on Adsheads in India going back to the early 1800s. I am trying to get more info about the Caulfields in India. I would also like to find out when my great-grandfather, James William Barker (1845-1902), came out to India. He was a widower and possibly came from Nenagh, Tipperary, Ireland. His occupation was listed as Civil Surgeon of Hissar and was described as "Indian Civil Service Medical Departmemt, retired" on his death.
