Does anyone have info on Maria Taylor, a singer (and possibly a daughter of an English musical composer named Hill) Had she any children? SHe came out to Australia around 1833, sang prominently in several theatres, was married to a Michael Taylor (stage manager). She went to India to see her friend Mrs Chester, also a singer, and died there in 1841. (probably to entertian the soldiers statioed there) I presume she would have been in her mid to late thirties. I know hwat she did after she came to Australia, but what happened to her in India?
Where is she buried? In India? What did she die of? Were there any children? Are there any death records for this dear young Lady?
