I would love to exchange genealogy reports with you. I have very little information on Catherine's children. I have quite a lot on " our" Nicholas and on the other Nicholas Inbody who settled in Hocking Co. Ohio. He is the son of John Adam and "our" Nicholas' uncle.
After Catherine went to Indiana, Nicholas supposedly married Anna Eyler Plunk. In my research I found that they were not married untill 1860. They had 4 or 5 sons. So, I presumed they did not marry untill after Catherine died. Do you have any information on what happen to Catherine? When she died or where she is buried?
Nicholas died in 1870 in Hocking county.
I have not found his grave.I feel he is possibly buried in Goodhope Twp, where he died. I have found a record where his son Nelson, bought a stone aroud that time. So I'm hoping to find it eventually.
My sister-in-law says Nicholas guided the horse on the Hocking Canal, but I don't know how true this is. The canal did not open in Hocking Co untill 1850s.
My husband is a decendent of Nelson Benjamin Inboden, s/o Nicholas & Anna. He changed the name for reasons I do not know.
Please email me @ home if you want to exchange information Nice to meet you.
Cecelia Crook Inboden
