I’m looking for information on Samuel Elder. He was born approx 1815 in Pennsylvania. He and wife, Mary, lived in Lucas County Ohio and Whitley County Indiana and had at least the following children
John M. born 1836 in Ohio
George W. born approx 1840 in Ohio
?arle (female) born approx 1842 in Ohio
Sarah born approx 1846 in Indiana
Emily born approx 1848 in Indiana
Milton born 1850 in Indiana
John M. was married to Elizabeth prior to 1860. They were divorced in 1863. John served twice for the Union, first in the infantry then in the 12 Indiana Cavalry. John later moved on to Decatur County Iowa and Lincoln County Kansas before staying in Topeka where he died in 1911.
