Shoemakers-Troy Twp., Whitley, IN 1840's & on

Looking for info on the Jonathan Shoemaker/Elizabeth Jenkins fam. They had 9 ch. Daniel the oldest was born 1830 in Delaware Co., OH. He mar. a Susan P.______. Their 1st ch. was Caroline A. born aprox. Feb. 1854 & died Sept. 1856. Caroline is buried in the Snodgrass Cem.(Pleasant Grove) in Etna/Troy Twp. The next grave is that of Hartie Tiffany age 15 who died in 1865. Hartie was living w/ Daniel & Susan & their older ch. in the 1860 Henry Co., IL Census. There are no known Shoemaker or Jenkins ties to the Tiffanys so perhaps Hartie was a relative of Susan's.

In the 1870 Census they are all back in Whitley Co. where Daniel's father & mother were still living. Am looking for the maiden name of Susan (born 1835 in OH according to the 1900 KS Census. That census lists her parents both born in NY. The 1910 KS Census lists her father born in Germany & her mother in NY)

Daniel's sister, Julia A. mar George F. Kisler. The Kisler had 4 ch. Jonathan's brother, Solomon also lived & died in Whitley Co. He & his wife had 5 children.

Am especially interested in the maiden name of Susan & who her parents were. Dan & Susan had 8 ch. I only know the fate of 2 of those ch. so that too is of much interest. Thanks for any help.
