I was reading the Biographies on the White
County Ohio, Genweb site and there is a information about a Susannah Shaffer.
Susannah was born Susannah Peebles .
She married James Shafer in 1832, Perry
County, Ohio. James Shafer, his wife
Susannah and two of his Brothers moved
to White Co., Indiana about 1834.
James and Susannah had 8 children, one
daughter May married Daniel Spears, one
daughter Jane married William Lane.
I do not know who their sons married,
the boys names were Alexander, John,
Joseph, Samuel and James. I'm sure many
descendants must still live in the
White County area.
The brothers who accompanied James
and Susannah were Joseph who did not
marry and Samuel, Susannah married
Samuel in 1853, 4 years after her
husband James Shafer/Shaffers death.
James, Joseph and Samuel Shafer were sons
of Joseph and Margaret Robinson Shaver/Shafer/
Shaffer. who came from Pa. to Perry Co., Ohio.
Along with the 3 previously mentioned
Brothers there was an Alexander and a George
and twin Sisters B 179?. The twins were
Margaret who Married Henry Heck and
Elizabeth who married 1 Solomon Linville
and 2 John Liddy. Henry and Margaret Shafer
Heck stayed in Perry County, Ohio.
They were my GGGrandparents.
