In the 1850 census, Jefferson Twp., Wayne Co. Indiana (62b) family 133 lists father Stephen Taylor, and sons John and Columbus.
Seeking info on parents of Stephen Taylor born about 1801 who married Susan(nah) (aka Sarah)Murphy born about 1805. Children include:
-John Watson Taylor, Sr. born OH December 26, 1827 died IA July 24, 1913. On December 09, 1857 he married Lucinda Margaret Hammond born Mercer County, OH? July 05, 1835 died Marion Co., IA July 15, 1920. One of their sons was Robert Clinton Taylor born IN November 23, 1852. On August 22, 1874 he married Alishea Jane McClintock born PA April 15, 1855 and died NM June 09, 1932. Another of their sons was Samuel Hammond Taylor born IA December 03, 1859 and died IA March 07, 1905. In 1884 he married Jennie M. Sawyer born IA June 1863. Another of their sons was John Watson Taylor, Jr., born May 17, 1866 and died March 05, 1945. On November 06, 1906 he married Maggie Brown (Zickefoose was her maiden name) born Sandusky OH March 18, 1844 and died Eskridge, KS. Other children of John Watson Taylor Sr. and Lucinda Margaret Hammond include Susan, Chauncy, Jennie and Mary Ethel.
-Columbus Taylor born IN March 30, 1841 died November 24, 1916. On April 22, 1886 he married Mary Ellen McClintock born December 05, 1854. Their daughter Leona Taylor was born March 12, 1887 and died July 12, 1972. On June 22, 1911 she married Frank Nearmyer born February 14, 1891 and died October 1979. They had children Wanda and Donald.
Other children of Stephen Taylor and Susan(nah) Murphy include James, Jane, Bell, Eliza Ann and Alan.
