Minerva Griffin McGee
Posted by: Diana McGee Riehm (ID *****8139) Date: August 30, 2004 at 20:09:08

My great grandmother was Minerva Griffin McGee, of Richmond, IN. She was married to my great grandfather Robert McGee of Richmond, IN.

There is very little known about Minerva other than this marriage, and the fact that there were 2 children (my grandfather and great-aunt). Robert eventually moved with the children to Chicago. According to the county recorder's office in Richmond, there was a marriage recorded, but no divorce. It only stated that Minerva returned home to live out her days with her parents. Why she did so was a mystery, and it left my grandfather with a tremendous sense of abandonment.

Any additional information would be appreciated.
