You may know this by now but the John Hay Center on East Market Street in Salem, is one of the best genealogical librarys in the United States and they have family files on hundreds of pioneer families in Washington and surrounding countys as well as numerous other records virtually any kind of records you can thank of as well as books that peoples have written about their families. If you havent been there and you are into washington co genealogy you really should visit this library. Tom Alexander New Albany Indiana
