Yes Welch. The very first thing I saw about him was in the library at Salem, Stevens Museum. It said he was born 1811, Wales. His census says Kentucky Excuse me I said Tenn before. Both 1850 and 1870 census are Ky. 1870 he was in Howard Twp with only Elizabeth (Matts). I wonder who the Polly is two doors down from him. He is 58 and she is 49. His wife died in 1854 and his daughter was born in 1848.I had him dying in 1858, but he is in the 1870 census.
I really have to look at that now. I didn't notice that before. I had him down before I started trying to keep sources. I've been doing this since abt 1992 and didn't get smart about sources until later. Thanks for making me find that. I hadn't found much about him so he was just there. I'm on dial up too. Right in the middle of nowhere, so I know what you mean. I'm supposed to have Ancestor .com for 6 mo for buying the new Trees, but I downloaded 5 1/2 hrs and didn't get it. I'll get into my stuff and get the real deal out for you. sorry if I screwed up.. That won't happen again.Bunny
