my forfather was mathew whitman of beverly randolph co.w.v. he married katherine stalnaker they had several children 1 child george came to boon warrick co. indiana ran the hotel there he married rebecca heath they are buried in old booneville cem in warrick in 1850 census your whitman westfall is the next door neighbor of my george whitman and family the westfalls and stalnakers and whitmans were all related in some way matthew whitmans sister married adam stalnaker and was killed in i think in 1780s by indians as her 2 year old son adam jr. i am also related in boon warrick co to the kneirs or kanier or knerr who helped forn dongola in gibson co. ferdinand owned so much property it covered warrick/pike/gibson co indiana it is now the patoka wildlife referage ferdenand had the iron bridge georges grandson george whitman jr. son of jobe founded the patoka methodist church in pike co. and built it it is the whitman /williams cem all are my families o believe your whitman westfall got his name from my whitman family
