David appeared in Coles County, IL. early 1800's. He lists his birth state as Indiana. David is my grgrandfather and my mother remembers going to the Evansville area in the 1930's for a family picnic. David married Margaret Ellen Carter 1886 and when she died in 1911 he married Margaret Briley in Sullivan Co., Indiana in 1912. He was a Baptist preacher and moved to Terra Haute, Indiana from Coles around 1815. Rumour has it he died in Indiana and was buried in Coles-there is a headstone with no dates. According to the 1900 census he was born 1867(I also have it as 1864) in IN and his parents were born in KT. Any info is appreciated.
