DIES SUDDENLY
Henry Petro, aged 49, a prominent citizen of Independence, died suddenly at his home in that place about 9 o'clock Thursday morning, apparently from heart failure. The funeral services will be held Sunday morning.

INDEPENDENCE MAN DEAD
--
Henry S. Petro died at his home in Independence, last Thursday evening Sept. 30, after a short illness. Mr. Petro was a native on Indiana and was born Nov. 07, 1849, being at the time of his death 65 years, 10 months, and 20 days old. The funeral occurred from the Christian Church, Sunday, Oct. 3rd, Rev. Dwyer, of the U. B. Church officiating. After the funeral address the Lone Star I.O.O.F. Lodge, of Independence, of which he was an honored member, took charge of the remains, and at the grave in Bethel Cemetery, in Fountain County, where interment was made, they exemplified their ritulistic work. Mr. Petro was a good Christian gentleman, honest and upright, honored and respected in the community where he lived. He leaves to mourn his passing away several children and a host of sorrowing friends.
