Samuel E. MAGRUDER (McGruder) appears in the 1860 census in Lewis Co MO but evidently moved to Warren Co IN where he and his wife died. They appear (in unexplained multiple listings, with and without middle initials and with different dates) in transcriptions of West Lebanon Cemetery records:
Samuel E. MAGRUDER. d. 8/30/1861 (sic), 52y, 1m, 11d (1812-1864 sic.), [Did he die in 1861 or 1864 as his age 52 indicates?]
Catherine A. [ODEN] MAGRUDER, d 7/01/1874, 57y (1817-1874)
There also appears a listing for Martha MAGRUDER, d/o H. C. and Rebecca, d. 4/15/1864, 1y, 3m, 13d. I believe the parents of this child were Hezekia and Rebecca (CRONE) MAGRUDER who subsdequently moved to Potomac IL.
Do you connect with these MAGRUDERS? Is the death date for Samuel E. MAGRUDER 1861 or 1864? Appreciate your help.
