Hello, I am trying to research my mother’s paternal family. Below is the information I have been able to obtain. If there is anyone who might have connections/information with any of them, please leave reply. Any information would be appreciated. There are different spelling variations of the surnames i.e.Gunkel, Gunkle, Gunckel, and Gunckle. And on Gaskell i.e.Gaskal and Gaskill.

Henry Gunkle b.1850 OH
Married Sept.30th 1877 to Sarah (P.?)Gaskell b.1857 IN
Children were Arthur J. Gunkle b.1886 IN d,1944 Lucas Co.OH
Guy M. Gunkle b.1897 IN d.1955 IN
Arthur J. Gunkle m. Minina(?) b. ? Had son James Arthur(Jimmy)Gunkle b.1943 last residing known Toledo OH
Guy M. Gunkle m. Gertrude Elizabeth Pitcher b.1906? IN
Gertrude E. Pitcher daughter of Clara Lowe.
Guy M. and Gertrude's children were Gloria J., Annie, Arthur Guy and Ida Mae I believe all born in Marion County Indiana.

Along the way I found the different spelling variations. On the death information for Arthur J. Gunkle from the Maplewood Cemetery Toledo OH listing, his name was spelled James Arthur Gunckel. On the 1880 warren co.census Adams township, Henry Gunkle is spelled Henry Gunckle and on the 1900 warren co. census, Henry Gunkle is spelled Henry Gunkel.

Thank you,
Julie Muse
