I don't know if these are the people you're looking for. The 1900 Vigo County census lists a William R. Evans, born in Feb. 1862 in Illinois, married for 16 years, and his occupation was farm laborer. His wife was Mollie E. Evans, born in Feb 1857 in Indiana, and had 4 children born and three living. Two sons; Jesse, born in Indiana in 1884, and ( unreadable first name ), middle initialis R. Soundex lists his first name as Welcom, but I don't know about that.He was born in Indiana in 1895. One daughter, Grace B., born in Indiana in 1887.

The 1910 census lists William Evans as a coal miner. His wife is listed as Mary Evans with 3 children born and 3 living. Then the two sons are listed. Jesse, age 26 was a coal miner and Ray, age 14, no occupation.

Also inthe 1910 census, in the town of Seelyville, In. was a listing for Roy Green, age 23, married 2 yrs., born in Indiana, and his occ. was coal miner. His wife, Grace was also 23, born in Indiana, and had 1 child born and 1 living. Also listed was a daughter, Bessie, whose age was 0/12. That census was taken 15 APR 1910, so apparently she was born around that date.

An obit. for Grace Evans Green appeared 2 DEC 1918. Survivors included the husband, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W.R. Evans, who at that time were living in Staunton,Clay County, Indiana, the two brothers, Jesse and Ray, and 4 small children who were not named. Burial was in Highland Lawn Cemetery at Terre Haute.

An obit. for a Roy Green appeared 3 MAR 1929, He died in Indianapolis, and survivors included his father, two brothers, his wife and small daughter, and four children from a previous marriage. He was 41 years old.
