NEED HELP!!1850 census/Gustavus & Caroline COLLINS
Posted by: sue (ID *****8754) Date: July 17, 2004 at 18:41:16

Does anyone know anything of the family of Gustavus and Caroline Collins in the 1850 census in Harrison, Vigo Co. IN? Gustavus 53 b. NY, Caroline 46 b. Mass., William 17 b. OH,(possibly???My ggrandfather) Caroline 16 b. OH, Laura 11 b. IN, Louis 7 b. IN, George 2 b. IN, and Matilda Elliott 60 b. Mass. Caroline and three youngest kids are still in Vigo in 1860 census. No Gustavus, William, Caroline, or the Matilda Elliott. I have hunted parents for my ggrandfather, William Collins, b. 1832 Columbus, OH for almost 20 years. Could this be him? He married in Vanderburg Co. 1862 I know. Do not know where he is in 1860?? Please, if anyone knows anything of this family, PLEASE reply. Thanks so much.

Sue
