for former West Terre Haute
resident, Billy L. Allsup, 45, who
died Monday t Houston, Tex.
He was a veteran of World War
II. Surviving are three daugh-
ters, Mrs. Beverly Picas, Tu-
junga, Calif., and Delores and
Mary Allsup, both of Burbank,
Calif.; a son, William, U.S.
Army, Fort Bragg, N. C.; the
mother, Mrs. Thelma Allsup,
West Terre Haute; five broth-
ers, Jame and Ralph, both of
West Terre Haute; Donald,
Terre Haute, Bobbie and Larry,
boh of Houston, Tex.; five sis-
ters, Mrs. Macie Dickerson, Glen-
wood, Iowa; Mrs. Audrey Uffen,
Houston, Tex.; and Mrs. Emma
Fisher, Mrs. Jerry Dickison and
Mrs. Linda Donnelly, all of West
Terre Haute, and three grand-
children.

for William Rice, 84, 523 N. 13 1/2
St., who died at 10:10 a.m. Mon-
day in St. Anthoney Hospital.
Surviving are a sister, Miss
Doyne Rice, Terre Haue; a
brother, Hobart, Sarasota, Fla.,
and a niece.

Services for Mrs. Hazel Cook
Marvel, 67, 156 Dreiser Square,
who died Sundaym will be at 2:30
p.m. Wednesday at the Bedino
Peace Capel, with Rev. Lester
W. Riggs officiating. Burial
wil be in Highland Lawn Ceme-
tery. Friends may call.
MRS. EFFIE PEARL HARVEY
Mrs. Effie Pearl Harvey, 87,
650 Lafayette Ave., died at 9:05
p.m.Monday at Union Hospital.
She was a member of Grace
United Methodist Church. Sur-
viving are, five cousins, Mrs.
Doris Staggs, Terre Haute; Mrs.
Mary Burnett, Indianapolis;
Harold Spencer, Carlisle; Arley
Lester, Worthington, and Claude
Rooksberry, Clinton. Funeral
services will be at 10:30 a.m.
Thursday at Thomas Funeral
Home. Burial will be in Rose-
lawn cemetery. Friends may
call after 4:00 p.m. Wednesday.
MRS. BERTHA SWARTZ
Word has been received here
of the death of former Terre
Haute resident, Mrs. Bertha
Swartz, 76, on Dec. 25 in Miami,
Fla. She was a member of the
United Hebrew Congregation.
Surviving are a aughter, Mrs.
Mary Burke, Miami; a son, Has-
kell Swarz, Terre Haute; three
grandchidren and one great-
grandchild. Sevices were Dec.
27 in Miami.
