I am 32 years old and a lifelong resident of Vigo County and am currently working on establishing a website dedicated to the home and those who resided there over the years.

I was born here in TH in 1971, abandoned at birth and placed in a series of foster homes before getting adopted out in 1974. The family I was placed with lived about 1/2 mile from the Home in East Glenn. In my searches on the web I found that no website or even mention hardly of Glenn Home has been done. So, knowing that, and website creation being one of my hobbies, I started one. My hope is to develop a respectful, factual website documenting the history of this establishment, perhaps even turning into a ‘reunion’ link location for those who may be searching for old friends.

I have obtained various materials from the Vigo County Historical Society, the Vigo County Group Homes office, and the public library in terms of some some photos, newspaper clippings. There are some large gaps in time, however, on the information that I do have.

If you could assist me in materials to use on the website, it would be greatly appreciated. I’ve done much research already, and have learned quite a bit, but would really love to have some more ‘personal’ input for the website if that would be alright. I did run into one woman who lived at the home from 1971 – 1974. She was very friendly and spoke very highly of the Home in general, and the time that she spent there. It is personal accounts such as this that will help develop the ‘honorable’ website I have envisioned.

Thank you for your time in this effort,
Jennifer Krockenberger
