1850 Vigo Co., IN--Nevans Township--page 127A

SMITH Gideon F.-41-born OH--farmer--value of real estate owned 600
Nancy-37-born IN

There was some trouble on the census collection and I wasn't able to view the 1860 and 1870 census. There was a Nancy Smith in 1860, same location as above listed in the index. Age was very close. This may be her and she is widowed. There was no Gideon Smith listed in the 1860 IN index. I was able to find her in 1880 living with daughter Hannah and her family.

1880 Vigo Co., IN--Nevins Township
KELLEY William--4?--born CAN
Hannah E.-wife-33--IN
James F.-son-2-IN
REDIFER Nancy-mother in law-66-widowed--born IN-parents born VA

I was able to find Hannah and Nancy listed in the obituary index for Vigo Co., IN. You can acquire their obits for $1.00 each by providing the following information at the following link:

Mrs. Hannah Smith Kelley
obit date--Jan. 15, 1917
page 02--TRIB

Mrs. Nancy Redifer-age 86
obit date-Nov. 19, 1900
page 06--EGAZ

There was a few REDIFER names in 1870 census index--same locations as above census. Remind me in a day or two to re-check for these 1860 and 1870 census for you.
