There is a James Woods listed in the 1830 Federal Census for Union County, Indiana. See: Page 245a, Line No. 3. This James Woods married Susan Shelby, daughter of Joshua Shelby and Joshua's wife, Susannah; Susannah's maiden surname is currently unknown. One Shelby family historian thinks that this James Woods was a physician born about 1799 in Kentucky. This James Woods was also the administrator of the estate of Joshua Shelby.
James Woods was listed as between the ages of thirty and forty years; Susan, his wife, was listed as between the ages of twenty and thirty years. Also,according to this 1830 census, James Woods and his wife, Susan Shelby, had three daughters under five years of age and two daughters between five and ten years of age. There were no male issue listed. Can anyone identify the names of these daughters?
